They are starting to look for the corpses now, those people in New Orleans. I wonder how many livings are yet to be noticed. I am sure at least a dozen of them are still stranded somewhere, waiting for doom to approach them. Putting on a show to put you in the good light when it comes to helping others.

Is it more important than saving your own people? Look at the efficiency and effectiveness put up in the face of the Tsunami. They did not display them when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. It took them a good four days for aids to reach the devastations in these days where infrastructure network is so advance. Government, they are always the last one to die when there is a crisis or a disaster. Look at Saddam; he was only caught after so many lives were lost. Look at the Tsunami; did it wash away any government official after killing tens of thousands of people?

This whole thing relates to something very common in our lives. Ever heard of men who were putting such a good show to gain the reputation of a successful and well-respected figure in the eyes of outsiders. His own household was in a mess with a dying father that he had refused to fork out the money to treat and an elderly mother who was struggling to work at the age of 70 so as to raise the large sum of medical fees that was build up by her husband. He donated $50k to a charitable organization in the name of goodwill but was reluctant to take out even $50 to repay the parents who had worked so hard to make him a “successful” man he is today.

Pride made you an unfeeling creature that blindly pursued your own materialistic needs to satisfy your evil ego. What will you gain eventually? Plenty of forged friendships and “friends” who will only share bliss with you. Is that what you hoped for?

Hope George Bush will come to understand this logic and do more to help his own people, those that he called “refugees”, those who are his own people.
